Nude In Gasmask at Saatchi Online

no words appear on actual print

The first artwork exhibited by Durango Miller at http://www.saatchionline.com/ is Nude In Gasmask #1.

The image is 16 x 20 inches, printed in the center of a sheet of fine art paper that measures 24 x 28.

Even though this is a print, it is a unique, one-of-a-kind artwork the same way a painting is. There are no other copies of this print, and I will print no other copies. It is a limited edition of 1. I may create and sell prints of the same subject that may be similar to this image, but they will not be exactly the same as this image.

A truly 21st Century art form, I created this artwork on my computer by drawing, sculpting, modelling and painting, using some of the same software used by Hollywood to create special effects and animation for feature films.

This print is printed using the same materials and technology that are used by some of the world’s greatest art museums and galleries to make fine art prints.

The image has been printed digitally, using Epson Ultrachrome K3 Ink Technology. This is an archival process. The print will last between 100 and 200 years without changing colour or fading if it is framed under glass or acrylic coated with an ultraviolet filter; 60 to 100+ years if framed under ordinary glass; and 30 to 100+ years if unframed.

The paper the image is printed on is Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308 – a 100% rag based paper, an archival heavyweight paper with a lusterless surface. The Hahemuhle paper company has been producing fine art paper for artists since 1584.

“Nude In Gasmask is a combination of photography and computer generated imagery with a considerable amount of digital manipulation. The intermixing of traditional media such as painting and photography and 21st century digital art techniques have created a whole new art medium that never existed before in the history of art.”
